Does amd support triple channel memory free
Sep 12, 2015, 4: 22 PM. You might be confusing things here. Dual channel is a mode that (most) RAM is capable of and that many motherboards (and CPUs with integrated memory controllers) support. Triple Channel is not supported much and I'm sure you would know if your MoBo supported it already.
Number of Memory Slots: 2288pin 2GB DRAM per module is not supported. Maximum Memory Supported: 8GB Due to the operating system limitation, the actual memory size may be less than 4GB for the reservation for system usage under Windows 32bit OS. For Windows 64bit OS with 64bit CPU, there is no such limitation.
Sep 11, 2015 For each channel in a modern PC, you need an individual stick of RAM. This also depends, of course, on the CPU. Consumer chips such as the Core i K and the new Core i K support up to two channels, while consumer chips such as the Core i X can support up to four channels. Normally this doesnt matter.
May 07, 2017 Why Ryzen will not support quadchannel? Discussion in 'CPUs' started by brad6999, Apr 30, 2017. Tri and quad channel memory is pretty pointless on consumer grade chipsets, Intel just tack it onto their high end ones as they are server derived so no effort. The upcoming AMD X399 chipset will support quad channel but that will be a
How can the answer be improved?
AMD Socket AM3 processors do not use the DDR3 triplechannel architecture but instead use dualchannel DDR3 memory. The same applies to the Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7800 series, which are used on the LGA 1156 platforms (e. g. , Intel P55).
